Step by Step Dishwasher Removal

Step 1: Power Supply Disconnection

For disconnecting the power supply, first of all, you have to get your hands on the circuit breaker.
Search for the circuit breaker that is directly connected to your dishwasher. Once you get it, all you have to do is check the position of the dishwasher and flip it. You have to take switch it off. However, in some cases, the dishwashers have direct connection to the electrical system of the house. The dishwasher you are using can also be plugged into the outlet that is under the sink.

Step 2: Water Supply Disconnection

For disconnecting the drain hose, first of all, you have to search for it. You will find it at the garbage disposal. All you have to dos is disconnect it. For disconnecting, go through the screw that is added on the hose clamp. Get your hands on a screwdriver and start loosening the screw. Keep screwing until you see it is coming off. You have to detach it first.
Now, take off the drain hose by pulling it. Let the drain hose rest below the sink. In this process, you will see that some water is leaking. Don’t worry, this is a common situation. The drain hose usually has water inside it that came from the dishwasher. This is the same water. You must mop it away with a towel or cleaning mop.
Step 5: Countertop Removal
Once you are done with removing the drain hose connection, you have to put your emphasis on the countertop. Usually, the dishwasher is connected to the underside of the countertop of your kitchen. For adding it with the countertop, there will be two screws added at the underside.

Step 6: Panel Removal
Once you are done with the countertop removal, you have to start working with the panel. Here, you have to search for the panel first. Check the bottom part of the dishwasher. The panel usually covers the underside of the dishwasher.
Once you get the panel, you have to detach it. The work of this panel is to hide the water supply. Along with this, it keeps the electrical supply and the drain hidden from the outside. It is connected to the dishwasher with some screws and for removing the panel; you have to get rid of the screws first. Check the screws and take a screwdriver.
With the screwdriver, you have to start loosening the screws and take them off. Don’t forget about the screws, keep them secure. Once you are done with the screws, detach and take away the panel carefully.

After removing the panel, you have to search for the water supply here. You will see a white or yellow cord which is the power supply. Also, there will be a steel or copper pipe for the water supply. First, disconnect the water supply by removing the metal nut. For this, you will need a crescent wrench. Take off the nut and disconnect the water supply.
Step 8: Leveling Legs Loosening
The dishwasher of your house is usually supported with four-leveling legs. Get your hands on a crescent wrench. Here, you have to loosen the screws of the leveling legs. Turn them counter-clockwise and loosen them using your fingers afterward.
Loosening the front legs are enough to tilt the dishwasher. Now, get your hands on a piece of cardboard and place it at the front of your dishwasher. Lift the dishwasher a bit and place it on the cardboard. Slide it out from the counter as much as you can. When you take it out enough, you can go under the dishwasher and start loosening the rear leveling legs the same way you did before.
