Get one emery cloth so that you can clean the hot-water copper pipe that is added to the water heater. Search for a tubing cutter and start cutting the hot-water pipe. Cut through the cold-water pipe in this process first.

When you are done with the cutting process of the water pipe, you have to keep your eyes on the connection of the water heater and the gas line. Get your hands on pliers. In this case, you will need two pliers for the process.

Search for some teflon tape and wrap it all around the connections of hot and cold water. Check the top part of the new water heater and wrap the tale around the connections that start from the above.

Now, you must go through the brass water heater T-fitting. Here, you have to thread a vacuum valve. After this, get your hands on the cold-water connection of the heater.

Now that you are done, get some copper fitting of 3/4-inch. Get it inside the hot water connection of your heater. Search for some pliers and start tightening the fittings.

Step 7:

Get your hands on the water heater and position it properly. Now, check the hot-water pipes and cold-water pipes. Solder then to your heater. You have to take a solenoid valve. Install it below the cold-water shutoff.

Make sure there is an electrical outlet there so that you can plug in the cord of the solenoid there. The moisture sensor of this one should be on the floor. Ensure it is beside the water heater.

Step 8:

In some cases, the the heater might spring a leak. If this happens, the valve will shut down the water without any notice and automatically. After this, you need to check the gas line and reconnect it to the heater.

Take some pliers and tighten it carefully. Get your hands on the power vent and add it to the top part of the heater. After this. You have to go through the electrical connections and make sure all of them work properly.

Step 9:

Once you are done with the electrical connections, check the exhaust port on the power vent properly. When you are almost done, you have to attach it to the existing vent pipe.

For the process, you can us PVC pipe along with the necessary fittings. For adding them up, you might require cement and PVC primer.

Step 10:

You are almost done! Now, you need to plug in the new water heater in an electrical outlet first. After this, check the valves for the gas and open them. Also, open the valves for the cold water along with the hot water.
